Over the years, we have been lucky enough to build up a reputation for luxurious shoes and accessories. We’re always thrilled to welcome new and old faces through the doors of our Emmy London boutique, and nothing makes us happier than seeing a customer’s face light up when they find ‘the pair’ – whether that be for their wedding day, or another big event. Our founder/Creative Director, and goddess of heels, Emmy Scarterfield, has a lot to do with why our shoes have an edge. She graduated from the world-renowned Cordwainers College of Footwear and Fashion before going on to work with the likes of the Giorgio Armani fashion house, and Stuart Vevers (who she worked with to create an accessory line for Bottega Veneta). Her years of experience in the fashion industry are translated into every single shoe design that you see in our boutique. Every shape, material, detail, and finishing touch comes from everything she’s been taught throughout her career.

 

Emmy and our devoted team spent a great deal of time sourcing the very best materials for our shoes. After all, our customers deserve only the best and we wouldn’t settle for any less. We tried, tested, and discarded a lot of fabrics, knowing that we needed better than best. Now, we mainly use the best quality soft kid suede, nubuck leather, and supple calf leather. These materials give our shoes both the luxury look and incomparable comfort that we’ve become famous for.

 

We have a unique process for developing each of our Emmy shoes, which takes place in our Portugal based workshop. We begin by creating a mould for a design, which is often based on vintage shoe styles, before its tested and developed to ensure quality and comfort.

Our craftsmen then get to work on creating the shoe. The shoes we have at Emmy London are created by hand, from techniques passed down through families for generations, giving them a truly special quality. If your shoe has any intricate beading, you can be sure this has all been done by hand, too! Every last bead is painstakingly and lovingly attached to give the perfect Emmy London finish.
