Hidden in the heart of Chelsea and with over 5,000 different varieties of plant erupting in bloom all year round, Chelsea Physic Garden is one of the most picturesque spots for a wedding. Founded for apothecary and botany reasons in 1673, the garden is steeped in history and every corner holds a new natural wonder. Imagine the pictures taken in there! They’d be absolutely beautiful.

A hospital doesn’t really sound like the perfect wedding spot, does it? But trust us when we say Royal Hospital Chelsea is. It’s actually technically not a hospital and is, in fact, a retirement home for the Chelsea Pensioners, who are all British army veterans. There are a number of truly incredible spaces to hire out inside (think high walls, ornate décor and traditional paintings) and, being on the bank of the Thames too, plenty of great picture opportunities for you and your wedding party.

Chelsea’s Old Town Hall is a gorgeous location for a wedding. With two rooms available for hiring, The Main Hall and The Small Hall, the venue can cater wonderfully to the size and style of your wedding. The beauty of the building mixed with its rich history and elegant atmosphere make it a stalwart Chelsea favourite and they’ve even seen a few notable faces get hitched here over the years!

 

The Saatchi Gallery is another venue that you may not normally consider, simply because it’s unexpected that they would cater to events such as weddings, but they do! In fact, this is a great location for creating a totally unique setting due to the gallery’s high, white walls. As long as they give the go-ahead, you can pretty much

do whatever you want to the interiors! The gallery itself is a gorgeous wedding location, just head there for a visit and see for yourself. You’ll fall in love!
