Rosie Tapner's Wedding: From the Perfect Proposal to Saying “I Do”
The Perfect Proposal
Rosie’s love story with Rossi reached a new chapter during a trip to Cornwall, where he managed to completely surprise her with the most heartfelt proposal. As Rosie recalls:
“The proposal was more perfect than I could ever have imagined. I never thought he would be able to surprise me, but he did. It was in Cornwall; we had gone to the top of Brea Hill for a picnic (a really rubbish picnic). To cut a long story short, after two hours of us being up there, he got down on one knee with the ring. I was SO surprised that all I did was cry. I missed his whole speech but managed to say yes through all my happy tears. Thirty minutes later, I asked him to do it again now that I had calmed down. So, he got back down on one knee and said his speech again, and this time I could take it all in. It was just PERFECT! A Brea Hill picnic is something we do all the time, so he caught me off guard.”
A Visit to the Chelsea Boutique
During her visit to our Chelsea boutique, Rosie met with Emmy and Bronte to try on her bridal shoes. The intimate and personalised appointment allowed Rosie to explore different styles and ensure the Harriet Petal Ivory shoes were the perfect match for her big day. “The team made the entire experience so special,” Rosie shared. “It was such a joy to meet Emmy and Bronte and have their guidance in choosing my dream shoes.”
A Wedding Full of Creativity
Rosie’s vision for her wedding day was simple yet meaningful: “I just wanted to get married to Rossi.” Together with her incredible mum and Rossi’s DIY skills, they created a wedding full of personal and handmade touches. From the round bar Rossi built for the marquee to the incredible music in the church, every detail reflected their unique love story.
“The wedding was as homemade as possible, with lots of touches of our lives in there. We let everyone around us help, and we didn’t want it to be a stressful wedding - just a fun one!” Rosie shared.
THE WEDDING DAY
When asked about the biggest highlight of her day, Rosie couldn’t pick just one: “Walking down the aisle, saying our vows, the speeches, the dancing… there are too many to count.” But, above all, Rosie cherished becoming Mrs Turner: “The biggest highlight was becoming Mrs Turner. I feel so incredibly lucky to have married my best friend. For me, the church and saying our vows was the best part.”
